Spring has officially arrived, which means it’s time to start preparing for the dreaded spring cleaning season. Let’s face it; most homes could use a good thorough spring cleaning, mine included. The thought of the time it can take to finish all of the cleaning projects you have been putting off over the winter season can get a little overwhelming. That’s why I am sharing some simple tips to take the stress out of this year’s spring cleaning while helping you get your home as clean as it has ever been.
DO have a plan of attack
Write down a list of everything you need to get done. Having a list can help you prioritize your cleaning and better schedule you’re cleaning into your day. This can save you a lot of time and helps make sure you don’t forget anything along the way.
DON’T stop half way through
Make sure you give yourself enough time to complete which ever task you are currently working on. Sometimes you need to really tear things apart to properly clean them and stopping before your done cleaning can create more of mess than you had when you started.
DO be prepared
Make sure you have everything you’re going to need to do the job. Make sure you have enough window cleaner, paper towels, polish, dust rags, and other cleaning supplies before you start cleaning. Nothing is worse then having to stop half way through cleaning to go get more supplies.
DON’T try to do everything at once
There is no need to tackle everything on your list in one shot. Breaking up the areas you want to clean can help you really focus on making sure each area gets the proper attention it needs.
